NicaFelt 

The solo project of Hosei Tatemizu, the representative and keyboardist of the electronica/folktronica band TINÖRKS. The name is a coinage combining "Nica," meaning electronic sound, and "Felt," intending a soft texture.

Beginning activities in March 2024, focusing on melodic chill ambient music. Influenced by early 2000s electronica.

 

Music production primarily uses keyboards, samplers, semi-modular synths, spatial effects, grooveboxes, acoustic instruments, gadgets, and more. Incorporating improvisation and accidental elements, the artist develops minimalist motifs, characterized by soft, rounded sound textures.

 

The main creative style involves outdoor session recordings and filming performance videos. NicaFelt also engages in a wide range of activities, including appearing at live events, collaborating with live painting and poetry reading, and organizing ambient live performances at traditional Japanese cafes and groovebox sound-making workshops.

 

With TINÖRKS, performed live in Germany, Luxembourg, and France in 2015. Writes articles on music production tips on Note.

 

Regardless of the instruments used, NicaFelt values a unique style and strives to create works that are considered high quality.

 

Furthermore, NicaFelt explores the possibilities of music in daily life, hoping that music can bring a little more tranquility to the world.
