【Important Notice】The background of current shipping delays and suspension of custom orders, and what we are doing about it

We are extremely grateful to be receiving an unprecedented number of orders. Our entire staff is working tirelessly on shipping, but we are currently taking longer than usual to ship products. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause while you eagerly await your orders.
Our top priority right now is to "prioritize the shipment of general orders and resolve shipping delays as quickly as possible."
Consequently, with great regret, we have made the difficult decision to "temporarily suspend custom orders and repair requests." While we initially aimed to resume these services in mid-April, it now appears unlikely that we will be able to do so even by the end of May.
Why is it taking so long? It's not just due to a backlog in shipping operations; there are "three serious challenges that are difficult to resolve immediately" that we are currently facing in order to maintain Onkodo's product quality and stable supply.
The main reasons are the following three points:

To sincerely report to all of you who always support us, we will explain the detailed reasons and our efforts below.
Reason 1: Addressing "historical large-scale price increases" affecting 80% of all products
Since the end of March, we have begun to receive price increase notifications simultaneously from many cable and parts manufacturers from whom we source.
In previous years, fluctuations were usually only a few percent, and in such cases, we made efforts as a company to absorb these costs without reflecting them in our prices. However, this time, the price increases are on an unprecedented scale, with "each manufacturer raising prices by 10% to nearly 40%."
Though it is truly regrettable, due to the sharp rise in procurement costs, we have been forced to reflect these changes in our product prices. This affects over 80% (more than 10,000 products) of all items handled by Onkodo.
The process of meticulously reviewing each item in our vast lineup and revising prices to appropriate levels is taking an enormous amount of time. Furthermore, additional price increase notifications have continued to arrive even in May, and a significant amount of personnel and time are currently being dedicated to this response.
Reason 2: Measures against "difficulty in obtaining materials and raw materials" due to worsening global conditions
To make matters worse, disruptions in logistics due to the deteriorating situation in the Middle East and difficulties in obtaining various products due to naphtha shortages continue.
Items like "vacuum packing bags" made of plastic, which are essential for delivering fresh cables to you, as well as "alcohols" crucial for cleaning, are already in short supply with no clear prospect of replenishment.

With the sole aim of "ensuring a continuous supply of products," we are currently scrambling to select and secure alternative zip-lock bags and substitute alcohols, but this material procurement is also consuming a significant amount of time. As you know, the outlook for global conditions to recover remains uncertain, but we intend to secure the best available materials at any given time.
Reason 3: Trouble with MOGAMI product descriptions on Amazon and recovery efforts
Also, regarding products sold on Amazon that use cables from Mogami Electric Wire Co., Ltd., you may have noticed that many products currently have descriptions such as "compatible product" in their product names, or have out-of-stock variations. We have an important explanation regarding this.
It appears that a third party, not Mogami Electric Wire Co., Ltd., registered the brand "MOGAMI" on Amazon, and because of this, we are currently unable to use the words "MOGAMI" or "Mogami" in product names or descriptions.
This would not be a problem if we could get permission to use MOGAMI from that third party, but Amazon will not provide information about the crucial third party, leaving us completely helpless.
Furthermore, Amazon is suspending sales of products with these descriptions due to trademark infringement. To lift this suspension, Amazon instructed us to include the term "compatible product."
As an authorized dealer of Mogami Electric Wire Co., Ltd., it is truly regrettable to have to use such descriptions, but given that we cannot sell without them, we are currently editing the product pages. This response is also taking a tremendous amount of time.
In order to lift this suspension and restore the products to a purchasable state for our customers as quickly as possible, we are reluctantly following Amazon's instructions and currently editing and revising our product pages to include the description "compatible product."
As an authorized dealer that has delivered the excellence of Mogami products with artisanal quality, it is truly regrettable to have to use such a description, but it is a difficult decision made to ensure the continued supply of our products.
Finally: Towards breaking through the current situation as quickly as possible
We are truly sorry to all our supporters that we have to spend so much time on tasks outside of Onkodo's original commitment to "delivering better products to our customers."
However, we believe this is a challenge we must overcome now to ensure Onkodo can continue to maintain reliable quality and stably sell products.
There is absolutely no compromise on the performance or sound quality of the products themselves. We are currently implementing various measures to overcome this situation as quickly as possible and deliver products to you at our usual speed.

【Notice: Temporary change in product packaging specifications and apology】
Due to the current global situation mentioned above, it has become difficult to procure the specialized bags previously used for "vacuum packing." For the time being, prioritizing the stable supply of products, we will temporarily switch to "simple packaging using zip-lock bags or similar." We deeply apologize to customers who were looking forward to the original specifications. Please rest assured that there is no change whatsoever in the performance or sound quality of the product itself.
