This time, I was asked to make a custom cable using BELDEN 88761, so I'll write about it in my diary.

The request this time was for a headphone cable using BELDEN88761.
There is a problem with the 2.5mm plug; the plug size is so small that it is not possible to secure the cable in place.
This inevitably results in lower strength.
Furthermore, because the plug has a locking mechanism to prevent it from coming loose, pulling it too hard can put stress on the plug and make it more likely to break.
The 88761 cable is not flexible, which puts more strain on the plug, so we gave up on commercializing it.
This time, we have received a production request with the understanding that we cannot guarantee the strength of the product.
