Unbalanced with greatly improved noise resistance
This is a transmission cable that is particularly suitable for transmitting weak phono signals and weak signals from electric guitars and basses.
In the audio industry, it is recommended for connections around phono equalizers, and in professional use, it is also recommended as a musical instrument shield or a patch cable for effects.
The previous GAC-1 was very well received, but in addition to the double shielding, the new cable has two layers of PVC conductor, making it a highly elaborate coaxial single-core shielded cable that the manufacturer claims is quadruple shielded.
The insulation is also thicker, so it is not only louder but also more durable than the previous GAC-1. If you move or drag the cable, it may produce noises such as "crackling" or "rustling."
This is called microphonic noise.
This is caused by static electricity being generated between the conductor and the insulator due to vibration or impact applied to the cable.
The GAC-1 ultra Pro Guitar/Phono minimizes noise generation by placing a double conductive PVC layer between the conductor and shield wire.
